    Implementation of photovoltaic system

Through the project ‘Realisation of a 102.01 kWp photovoltaic plant for the sustainable production of electricity to serve the activities of Terratinta Group’ financed thanks to European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region, Terratinta Group intends to contribute to the energy and ecological transition, reducing its greenhouse gas emissions from the use of fossil fuels.
The project involved the installation of an 89.89 kWp solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the factory located in Fiorano Modenese for the production of electricity from renewable sources for complete self-consumption. The system consists of 178 monocrystalline silicon modules capable of maintaining high performance over time.
This investment is positive in terms of energy savings, improved corporate image and sustainability, with economic benefits that are amplified over time.

The installation of the photovoltaic system has enabled Terratinta Group to achieve several strategic goals:

1. Reduction of energy costs: the photovoltaic system allowed the company to generate its own electricity, reducing its dependence on the grid and, therefore, its energy bills.

2. Energy independence: thanks to this investment, the company is partially independent of fluctuations in energy prices on the market, thus protecting itself from possible increases in energy costs.

3. Corporate image and sustainability: adopting environmentally friendly solutions such as photovoltaics enhances the company’s image, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and the environment and positively impacting the company’s reputation.

4. Contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions: the adoption of photovoltaic systems reduces the company’s ecological footprint, contributing to global sustainability goals and the fight against climate change. CO2 equivalent savings of 39,642 tonnes/year are expected compared to the company’s current consumption profile.

5. Long-term benefits: Photovoltaic systems require low maintenance costs and have a long service life (often more than 20-25 years). The economic benefits increase over time due to reduced energy costs.

The project involved total investments of €132,601.67, financed by a planned regional contribution of €28,969.34.
