In the front row for the future
This morning, for the third year in a row, the award ceremony of the Scholarship named in memory of Giorgio Migliorini, father of the CEO and General Manager of Terratinta Group, took place.
A moment that every year brings us to focus attention on school, on the care that needs to be taken of it, and on the opportunity it offers to young people.
As part of its activities, Terratinta Group continues its commitment to the community with this contribution to the education of two deserving students who graduated in the 2022/2023 school year at the ‘F. Selmi’ Higher Education Institute of Modena.
The awarding of the scholarships was attended by the Mayor of Fiorano Modenese Francesco Tosi, Councillor for School Policies Luca Busani, school headmistress Elisa Prampolini, and Terratinta Group CEO Luca Migliorini together with General Manager Marco Migliorini.
School Headmistress ElisaPrampolini was the first to take the floor, emphasising her satisfaction at seeing the two students who have embarked on a new training path and, thanks to this contribution, have help to continue.
Mayor Tosi emphasised how the focus on schools at this time is a valuable issue: “Italy will be saved if it has a school of excellence, and in doing this, collaboration with the private sector is also an added value in demonstrating sensitivity and continuity in caring for the territory and its human resources”:
Lastly, the CEO of Terratinta Group Luca Migliorini took the floor and, thanking the Mayor for continuing the close collaboration with the municipal administration, also wished to remember his father to whom this scholarship is named: “For the third year, this moment is a way to remember our father. The roots of our family are not here, just like those of the families of these two deserving students. A man who started from scratch and whose sensitivity we want to remember with this symbolic award, especially towards those who did not have many opportunities in life. Our father always remembered where he came from and always had an eye for those who were willing to work hard and improve themselves. We are convinced that our father would have appreciated this gesture and for us as a Benefit Society and B Corp company, it is one of the ways in which we try to help the local community.
Our father in his career improved conditions for the next generation, we are trying to do the same and lay a solid foundation for the future.
I remind you girls to treasure this opportunity: we are heading towards a future where skills are needed more and more. Learning and studying is what will differentiate you. You have to believe in the system around you and take advantage of the opportunities to improve ourselves.”
The Terratinta Group family wishes ‘our’ two students the best of luck for their future!
